Galya Raz, DMD, MS

Dr. Galya Raz received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in dental school Dr. Raz became passionate about periodontics and pursued further education at the University of California, Los Angeles where she received her specialty certification in Periodontics and Implant Surgery as well as a MS in Oral Biology. During her time at UCLA, she focused extensively on the management of advanced periodontal disease and patient-centered outcomes. Additionally, she initiated and conducted research assessing adjunctive periodontal laser therapies while exploring the use of lasers in the treatment and management of peri-implantitis. She served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at UNLV for the past three years where she taught pre-doctoral periodontics full-time and developed the Pre-Doctoral Implant Program. Dr. Raz recently returned to her hometown of San Diego, California where she has joined one of her mentors in private practice.
