The 1st annual “Funny Bunny” Race for Parkinson’s Hosted by The Friends of Parkinson’s was held April 4th at Bruce Trent Park. The race had 270 participants in the 5k race, 1 mile walk, and the bunny hop.
This event was put on to benefit the Parkinson’s community here in Southern Nevada. Runners, Walkers, and Hoppers alike found eggs along the trail in Bruce Trent City Park. Runners and walkers received Race Day T-Shirts and goody bags. Children enjoyed a bunny hop for eggs, Petting Zoo, Bounce Houses, Face Painting, and more.
During the award presentation for the runners Mayor Pro Tem Stavros Anthony handed awards and also presented the Friends of Parkinson’s Executive Director, Jamillah Ali-Rahman, a proclamation from the City of Las Vegas.
